Korie and Willie are proud adoptive parents and care deeply about raising awareness about the millions of children around the globe and across the nation in need of loving families.

In 2014, Korie and Willie were honored as Angels in Adoption® awardees by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) and now serve as CCAI Board Members.

CCAI believes every child deserves a loving family and works on a daily basis to remove barriers preventing children from finding safe, permanent, and loving homes. All of CCAI’s core programs are designed to help achieve this goal, including the National Adoption Day program.

National Adoption Day is a national effort to raise awareness about the 108,000 children waiting to be adopted in the U.S. foster care system.

Over the past 16 years, National Adoption Day efforts have resulted in 58,500 children and youth in the foster care system being adopted.
